Herman (From the Queen to the Chief Executive) was nominated for the Best Director Award. The awards presentation ceremony will be held at the Hong Kong Science Museum on 17th March. The award winners will be announced during the ceremony. "From the Queen to the Chief Executive" is also chosen as one of the best ten Chinese movies in 2001 by the Hong Kong Film Critics' Association. (22nd February, 2002) |
International Catholic Organization for Cinema and Audiovisual has announced that the OCIC Award for Chinese movies in 2001 will be granted to "From the Queen to the Chief Executive" for its concern about social injustice and human rights. Presentation of the award will be held in Taipei. |
